November Citrus Lane 4 year old boy and Discount

Citrus Lane sent me this box to review.  Citrus Lane was founded by Maurina Finley, a mom of two little boys.  She wanted a service that sent the best products for children, right to your door.  Citrus Lane sends 4-5 products for children from newborn to age five.  Citrus Lane sends, toys, snacks,  bath products, lotion and more.  Subscriptions are $25.00 a month and there are discounts for longer subscriptions.  My two sons L (age 4) and T (age 20 months) get Citrus Lane.  Citrus Lane sent me the 4 year old box for review.
The Box
Normally, the Citrus Lane colored stripe is yellow instead of pink because of Breast Cancer Awareness month in October

First Look
The box is in awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness month  and Men's Healthy Awareness month in November.  Citrus Lane always used bright yellow tissue paper and a Citrus Lane sticker.
Bowstaches
Citrus Lane also made some pink “bowstaches” for kids to wear this month.  They are pink for Breast Cancer Awareness month and they are mustaches for Men's Health Awareness month in November.
The Information List
Full Contents
Citrus Lane includes a full list of all the box contents with websites and pictures.  Another detail I love, is the letters at the top.  You can cut them out, and help teach your child the alphabet.
Faber Castell Doodling Pad $2.49
This is a nice pad of paper.  L actually doesn't have many pads of paper to color on.  L loves this and has been coloring on it, since he got it.
Faber-Castell 12 Jumbo Beeswax Crayons $4.99
These are nice crayons and can be used by L or T.  They are great for small hands.
Bumpkins Lunch Bag $12.95
This is a nice boy lunch bag.  This will be great for holding snacks during holiday travels or for school next year.
Green Toys Build a Burger $8.50
This was a special exclusive for Citrus Lane.  It is about the half the size of the sandwich set, so I estimated it at half that value.
Good Boy Organics Cheddar Cheese Organicasaurus $1.44
L ate this up as soon as he received the box.  I like that these are non-gmo and gluten free.  It is also the only cheese corn puff that is USDA certified organic.
Tiny Prints Free Address Labels/Shipping w/$99 Order
You can get 4 sets of address labels and free shipping with a $99.00 order.  I rarely order a large order of pictures, so I won't be using this.
The Whole Box
L loved the paper and crayons
Favorite Item
L's favorite item was the Green Toys Burger.  He got it out and played with it right away.

Final Thought: I really liked L's Citrus Lane‘s box this month.  It had a total value of $30.37.  L loved the snacks and I am going to be buying more.  L normally hates to color, but really liked the crayons and pad of paper.  The build a burger has been played with by both boys.  Finally, the lunch bag is going to be used in a couple weeks at Thanksgiving. November Popsugar Must Have Box and Discount

I love my Popsugar Must Have Box.  It is my favorite box that I get for myself.  Each month is packed with all the must have items from beauty to home to food and more.  Popsugar is $39.95 a month but you can save $5.00 by using the code Refer5.  Each month Popsugar includes the best of the best and the boxes are almost always valued over $100.00.  Popsugar always includes high quality items in their boxes, so even if you aren't crazy about something that month, it can easily be gifted.
The Box
I love seeing the pink and white box on my doorstep.
Jammed Pack
The tissue paper could barely hold all the items together.  I love that.
First Look
It was love at first site.  The candle and chips caught my eye first, and I couldn't' wait to take it all out.
Information Card
Popsugar has some of the best information cards in the business.  Their cards are actually booklets.  They are full color and include why Popsugar picked the item.  I like they also include the company's url.  I hate having to Google for that information.
Information Card-Back
As you can see from the booklet, there was tons of items in the box.
The Soap Paper Factory Roland Pine Shea Butter Soap $8.00
I love shea butter, as his leaves my hands super soft.  This has a woodsy scent that I really like.
Illume Naughty Candle $15.75
This has a spicy wooded scent and smells fantastic!  Other subscribers got he Nice scent, which is a sweet vanilla fragrance.  I love this candle and is just my kind of scent.
Maison de Monaco Strawberry & Blackcurrant Cream Preserves $6.00
I suppose, this is supposed to be use on a fancy croissant, but it tasted out-of-this-world good on my toast. I love this, and will have to find out the best place to buy more.
Barefruit Crunchy Sea Salt $2.26
These are 100% real apples.  They are caramel and sea salt covered apples.  They are so tasty and not super hard either.  I have had some apple chips that are super tough, but these are crunchy goodness.
Land's End Single Canvas Wine Tote $14.50
This is perfect for taking wine to holiday parties.  My purse is never big enough and I am klutzy.  This is perfect and I love it.
Michael Stars Wrap $42.00
This folk art wrap is wonderful.  It is 40″ by 83.5″.  It can be worn as a wrap, scarf and probably some other creative ways I haven't thought of.  This would be great for a movie date.  I also love, that it is worth more than I paid for my box.
Absolute! Nail Polish Remover Pads $1.99
I love nail polish remover pads.  Remember I am a klutz?  Well, I have spilled nail polish remover too many times.  These will be perfect, no over powering smell and they are quite effective.
Canvas Pop Gift Card $30.00
This is enough to get a rolled 8×10 canvas.  Shipping is $14.00, which isn't cheap, but still reasonable.
Shopstyle Advertisement
This seems like a pretty interesting website with some nice stuff.
Final Thought: I really loved this box.  The total value was $120.00, outstanding value.   Popsugar is the one box of my favorite boxes.  I loved this month's box.  My favorite item is the wrap, it is so luxurious.  The whole box is fantastic.  One of the great things about Popsugar, is all the stuff in the box is such great quality.  If you get something that is not quite your style, it can be easily gifted.  If you want to try Popsugar, click HERE and use the code REFER5 to save $5.00.

Poop Buddy Review

Poop Buddy is a subscription box that helps make your walks with your dog, a little more fun and less messy.  Poop Buddy sent me one of their subscriptions to review and I loved their subscription.  Every month, Poop Buddy send eco-chic poop bags, along with two selected products for your dog.  One thing that stuck with me, is they donate 10% to WWF and dog rescue organizations.  I love a company that gives back.
Why do I need to use a poop bag?
Using a poop bag from Poop Buddy is eco friendly.  “Eco-Friendly: A term used to refer to goods and services, laws, guidelines and policies claimed to inflict reduced, minimal, or no harm at all, upon ecosystems or the environment.”  40% of dog owners don't pick up after their dogs.  When dog waste is not picked up, it goes into the soil and into the water systems.  Most water treatment facilities are not made to properly filter animal waste.  This means it could end up in your drinking water, YUCK.  Dog waste also carries Salmonella, E.coli, roundworms and tapeworms.  The nitrogen in dog waste can also kill plants, wildlife and fish.   To protect our drinking water, ponds, lakes and rivers, the best way to dispose of your dog's waste is to put in a bag and throw it away.
The Details:
Cost: 1 month:  $10.00 a month
          3 months  $9.00 a month
          6 months: $8.00 a month
What's in the box? You will receive a monthly themed set of eco chic poop bags with at least two carefully selected products for your dog, from all-natural treats to chews and unique accessories.  You will get at least 80 bags each month.  You can email  [email protected] if you have an extra large dog and extra large needs.
When do they ship?  They ship the 15th of the month
When am I billed?  1st of the month
How do I cancel? You can email [email protected]
The Package
I love colored envelopes.  Poop Buddy ships in a bright green colored padded envelope with a cute dog on the front.

Fruitables Skinny Minis Grilled Bison Flavor
These have 3.5 calories and harvest fresh sweet potato is the primary ingredient.  These are soft and chewy and perfect for all dogs.  This will go to my parent's dog.
The Honest Kitchen Perfect Form Herbal Supplement and offer for a FREE sample pack
This is for dogs or cats to support a healthy digestive system and intestinal track.  You mix the right amount with water (amount depends on the weight of the animal) and then add it to food.  I will try this with my cat and my parent's dog.  Both pets are in their senior years.  This is made with Papaya leaf, plantain, slippery elm, organic pumpkin seed, pectin, papain and fennel.  There was also an offer to try a sample bundle for dogs or cats free!
The Bags
The bags were super cute and perfect fall colors.  The patterns were: orange with bones and puppy paws, yellow with puppy paws, brown with bones, and orange.  There were several bags that would last awhile.
The Bag
The bag seemed sturdy and I liked they are cute.  Who wants to walk around with an ugly grocery store bag.  I thought the bags were very sturdy.  I didn't have a dog to try them out on, but they worked great for my son's dirty diapers and my cats indigestion problem.  It's great to have a set of bags that can be used for my pets and baby!
The Box

Final Thought:  This is a great subscription.  If you subscribe for a year, you only pay $8.00 a month.  I like the extras that Poop Buddy included.  I will giving some of these bags to my parent's, for their dog and using some for me.  Some of those 40% of dog owners who don't pick up after their dog, live in my neighborhood.  This will be great to help clean up some in my yard.  Better yet, I might tie some bags on the mailbox with a note (Maybe a bit much).  I also love that they give 10% back to charity.  This is a great service for dog owners.  If you want to sign up for Poop Buddy, click HERE.

Appleseed Lane November Review and Discount

Appleseed Lane is a new subscription box company for children 4-10.  Appleseed Lane graciously gave me a box to review.  Appleseed Lane's boxes are filled with 3-5 Science and Math projects.  The subscription is $23.00 a month and the box is packed with activities.  When the box arrived, I was really excited to do it with L (age 4).  L loves Science and I knew he would have a blast doing it.
The Details:
Cost: 1 Month:  $23.00 a month
          6 Months: $21.00 a month
        12 Months: $19.00 a month
Coupon: Use the code FRIEND10 and put my name in the comments (Erin Hamm) to save $10.00 on your subscription.

What's in the box:  Every month, your child will get a box full of goodies to make 3-5 Science and Math projects.  Every month has a unique theme and there is a book that comes with the box too.  The book is filled with activities and illustrations to go with the theme.  Your child will also get a chart and badge.  As your child continues to get the box, your child will get more badges.
When am I billed?  You are charged when you sign up and then again the 20th of each month.
When do I get my box?  Boxes are shipped at the end of the month.  The box should arrive between the 5th and 10th of the month
How do I cancel?   Email [email protected] by the 20th of the month to cancel.
This month's theme “Crime Scene Science”
The Box
The box is so cute with the tree and apple.  I couldn't wait to see what was inside.
Information Card
There were four projects: Invisible Ink, Muddy Tracks, Hidden Colors and Sticky Fingers.
Project Instructions
All the project instructs were written with colorful illustrations on the back.  The directions were very easy to follow.
Badge and Chart
Every month, you child get a new badge to add to their chart.  L was so excited to put his badge on his chart.  It is proudly hanging on the refrigerator.
Mustache
You can't be a private detective without a mustache.  L's daddy has a mustache, so L was excited to wear this.  The purpose behind this box, was to find out who of Professor Caterpillar's family members, took the last cookie from the cookie jar.  Each experiment and activity, brought you (your child) closer to the answer.
Invisible Ink
Invisible Ink in Action
L loved the the light that made the message appear.  It was the first clue.
Narrowing it Down
L loved narrowing down the suspects.
Muddy Tracks
Plaster
Muddy Tracks Activity
This was the hardest of the activities.  L helped combine all the ingredients to make the red dough.  L was very curious about what we were making.  Once the dough cooled, L put his hand int he dough.  We made the plaster and poured it in.  It had to sit for at least 30 mins, but we left it over night.
Finished Hand
L's hand turned out great and then L colored it.  L is not a huge fan of coloring, so he went with the minimalist approach.
Hidden Colors
Hidden Colors Activity
This activity taught L about chromatography.  Chromatography is the scientific way of separating mixtures to see what they are made of.
The Colors
L had to determine which person didn't match.  This was a great practice with L and his letters
Sticky Fingers Kit
Narrowing it Down
This was L's favorite activity.  L made copies of his finger prints and put them on the card.  Then he used the magnifying class to look at them closer.  He also used the magnifying glass, to find who stole the cookie!
Finished Project
The Whole Box

Final Thought:  L loved this box.  This box had so many activities, that it kept my son busy for a long time.  Appleseed Lane is one of the few boxes that offers Science projects for kids.  My son loves Science, and I am so glad I found a box that helps flourish his interests.  This box took my son and I several hours to complete, and my son loved every minute.  I loved the my son had a blast with all the activities and I enjoyed seeing my son learn new things.  Appleseed Lane is a great value at $23.00 and you can save even more.  Just use the code FRIEND10 and put my name (Erin Hamm) in the order comments section (It will be the page you put your address in).  You can click HERE to order.
