Ipsy is a great subscription for people who love trying new beauty and makeup items. It is only $10.00 a month and you get about 5 items in a great beauty bag. You fill out a survey about your makeup preferences and then
Ipsy sends a bag geared to your preferences. Once you get your bag, you can review your items online, and tell
Ipsy what you think. I love the beauty bags and how well they can be used for so many things. I have some in my purse and I use some for travel. I have found some great new make up items from getting
Ipsy. If you are interested in trying
Ipsy, you can click

| The envelope |
I love Ipsy's envelopes. They are very study and can be reused to ship other things.
 |
| First Look |
I love the black bag this month. It could be used as a tiny purse or just a glam make up bag in your purse. I used some points to buy a beauty blender.
 |
| Celebration |
This month's Ipsy theme was Celebration
I will wear this will a brighter shade of lipstick to add a little shimmer. It applies very smoothly.
This is my favorite product in the bag. It can be used as eye shadow, blush or lipstick! This is a great color
I would prefer the grey trio but this is a nice neutral palette that will look great on
This is a great eye shadow blending brush. It doesn't loose it's bristles when you use it and blends shadow very well. I can't believe Ipsy included a $27.00 brush in the bag
I would have preferred the red color, but this is a nice color too. Maybe I can add a glitter polish to spice it up.

| The Whole Bag |
Final Thought: This month's Ipsy bag was pretty great. The total value of this month's bag was worth $58.00! This is a great subscription and is very affordable. What did you think of this month's Ipsy bag? If you are interested in signing up for Ipsy, click HERE.

Cultured Owl Review
Cultured Owl is a new subscription box that exposes children to the world. Cultured Owl sent me the Spain box to review. Spain is the first box in the country series. Cultured Owl is for children 5-10 and each month, Cultured Owl sends a country kit filled with information, toys, and crafts. These kids are designed to bring the whole family together. Cultured Owl was developed by Sara Randrianasolo. She is an advocate for international education. While working in higher education, Sara developed programs to bridge the gap between American and international students. Being a bicultural and multilingual family gave Sara and her families opportunities to celebrate differences between people. Sara wanted to teach her children more about this, and developed Cultured Owl.
I really was excited to see this box, because I think it is very important that children understand the world they live in and have an appreciation for other cultures. I love exposing my children to new places, but international travel is not feasible at this time. I like that there is a monthly kit that can bring different cultures to their home.
Cultured Owl's Vision
“Cultured Owl desires to see children develop global citizenship skills. Our monthly Country Kits teach children to value diversity and to celebrate other people and their way of life. Designed with products that promote creativity and critical thinking. Country Kits also help children develop their own sense of identity.”
Here is what is in the Country Kit
1. Arts and Crafts: Materials to make 2-3 hands on activities. Finished products will represent aspects of the host country culture.
2. Toys: Included toys are played with by the children in the host country
3. Country Booklet: Country booklets are filled with cultural information. Topics include popular names, traditional games, children's songs, language lessons, dramatic acts holidays and festivals and overall way of life. Each booklet also contains conversation starters, which are a great way to dive deeper into culture. These are good to discuss over dinner
4. Collectible Trading Card: Use the demographic and national traits data to teach children factual information about the country. Geographic coordinates are provided so children can locate the country on their included globe.
5. Country Flag: The flag includes a three hole stand to display the flag
6. Recipe Card: Gather the family and get a taste of the local cuisine. Families are encouraged to involve children in shipping for ingredients and preparing the dish. Cooking is an excellent way to practice math skills

| Spain: Toys, Education, Cooking and more |
Cultured Owl included a flag of Spain, a trading card, a recipe card, booklet about Spain and a Peonza. L really liked the flag and has it in his room. The trading card is in a hard protective sleeve and demographics about Spain. The recipe is a card to make Chicken Paella. I have never tried chicken paella, but it looks tasty. The booklet about Spain includes information about Flamenco, an art form of dance and music. They also talked about La Tomatina, which is the largest food fight in the world and Corrida de Toros (Bullfighting). The Peonza is a toy top you can spin.
 |
| Inside the booklet |
Final Thought: This was a really great box and L loved learning about Spain. I liked that there were many different aspects to this box, from the crafts to the toys, recipe and literature. It gave my family and son a great overview of Spain. L really loved making the crafts in the box. Both the mosaic tile and the castanets were very unique and fun to complete. L is working on spinning the Peonza by himself. If you are interested in learning more about

UBOX kindly sent me this box for review. UBOX is a college subscription box that sends college students a box full of fun and useful items. I would have loved to have a college subscription box back in the day. This is a nice and easy way to send care packages to your loved ones.
UBOX strives to feature products that are college start ups, socially responsible, or innovative (or cool). If you want to subscribe, go to
www.ubox4u.com
UBOX includes a mix of products from the following categories:
a. Home Away from Home-Stuff for your dorm room
b. Me, Myself and Items-Self improvement items or items you can use by yourself
c. School is Cool-School related stuff
d. For the Techie in You-New or cool gadgets
e. Care to Share?-Things you can do or share with your friends
f. Awesome Snacks-Food!
 |
| The Box |
UBOX usually uses a different, better looking box. They included a note this time that said “We had to make some last minute adjustments with the packaging to fit in some extra goodies”.
 |
| Syllabus |
UBOX has the best information sheet. It is themed as a syllabus. It has office hours, objectives, and more. The list of contents in the box is listed as “materials overview”. This is a very unique way to share all the important information.
This is a beautiful, soft scarf. I love that it is a Lucky Brand scarf. I couldn't find this exact scarf online, but I found a similar scarf. This is perfect for those walks between classes.
UBOX included many items to make sure college students stay awake during finals, or on that long car ride home for holiday break. The energems came in 3 flavors: chocolate charge, peanut butter blast, and mint fusion. Each piece has 15 calories, b vitamins and caffeine. They actually taste good too! The tea is 100% natural is designed to energize the body and focus the mind. The flavrz drink drop in water to give you an energy kick. These are great after working out too.
UBOX wants to make sure college students smell clean. The Grab Green laundry detergent is great because they are little pods. These take up a small amount of room and clean lots of laundry . The Dr Bommers has in invigorating scent and has 18 different uses! This stuff will not only leave you cleaner but healthier.
 |
|
Of course you can't have a college box without study aids. Index cards are a must for speeches and flash cards. Ear plugs are always handy in a dorm. If you are writing a paper, wite out is always helpful. The Dream Water is 0 calories and designed to help you sleep and relax without drugs.
|
This nail polish is very cute and fun! UBOX threw in samples of the scent Money. Her Money has a very nice floral scent and His Money smells fantastic. It has a musk smell to it.
Who doesn't like getting treats? These Ghiradelli squares are wonderful. The peppermint bark is my favorite. Popcorn is great for late night movies or study sessions.
This is a water proof sleeve for you smart phone. There is a hole at the top of the bag, so you can clip it toy your purse or backpack. This is great for keeping your phone dry and safe. I am going to use this when I run.
 |
| Gift Bag, Card and Tissue $2.00 |
This was a nice added touch to the box. College students don't get much time to shop before the holidays. This is great for putting together that last Christmas present.
 |
| The Whole Box |
Final Thought: The total value of this box was $80.92! This box costs only $35.00, so I am really happy with this value. The box was great and filled with so many useful and fun things. The scarf was my favorite item of the box. The waterproof sleeve is very unique and new to me. That is a great addition to this box. I also enjoy how

Popsugar Must Have Box is my favorite box I get for myself. It is always worth over $100.00 and it is filled with all the must have items from food, to home, to fashion and more. One of the things I like about
Popsugar, is even if I don't love everything in a box, I always get my money's worth.
Popsugar Must Have box is $39.99 a month, but you can use the code REFER5 to save $5.00 on your first month.

| The Box |
 |
| First Look |
I love Popsugar's white and pink boxes.
 |
| Information Card |
Popsugar always included an detailed information card for every product in the box.
Ghiradelli makes great chocolate. I like the milk and caramel chocolates the best. The Peppermint Bark is really tasty too. I have the Pumpkin Spice Caramel and Eggnog flavors to C, he is very happy.
This was made exclusively for the December Popsugar box. I like this bracelet. It reminds me of the Joan of Arc box from
Project DIY. I wouldn't pay $110.00 for it, but I like it.
I have been wanting to try nail wraps, but didn't know what brand to try. These are beautiful and perfect for Christmas. I am going to try these out this week.
Popcorn! If every box included popcorn, I would be very happy. This is caramel popcorn with roasted pistachios. This was a unique twist on caramel corn. This would be a great git for a Christmas stocking.
 |
| Mixt Studio Wrapping Paper $9.00 |
This wrapping paper is made from recycled materials. Gift tags and twine have also been included with the wrapping paper. The wrapping paper is cute, but I would never pay $9.00 for wrapping paper.
This mascara promises to be clump free and give you voluminous lashes without having to use false eyelashes. There is also a mirror on the side, so you can apply it any time. Model Co also included a $10.00 off coupon in the box.
There are 4, 8 oz flutes in the box and they are made of plastic. They also have a thumb grove in them. These are perfect for me. I have two small children, so fragile crystal is not something I want laying around. I actually prefer to drink from plastic glasses.
Final Thought: The total value for this box was $181.18. While I think the bracelet was a little over priced, I really enjoyed this box. Ever time I receive my Popsugar box, it feels like my birthday. If you are looking for a great all around subscription box for women, Popsugar may be your box. If you are interested in signing up, click HERE and use the code REFER5 to save $5.00 off your first box.
